Inbound Marketing

What is Inbound marketing? Inbound marketing is nothing but attracting clients, leads, and prospects by creating content and experiences that they need. In a nutshell, inbound marketing is helping the clients to find your company by attracting them with some strategy and plan which is valuable. It is not the same as traditional marketing. It’s completely different because your customers or leads are ready to do business with just because of engaging with your content. The methodology in inbound marketing applies in 3 ways. Attract, engage, and delight.

  2. You attracted the leads and now it’s time to engage with them. Talk to them and get to know them. So that you can be able to build a relationship with them. Tell them and highlight the benefits of working with you, ask them questions and give them valuable solutions.
  3. Then delight. It is by providing them the right kind of service they want.

Inbound Marketing mostly works in content marketing. As we are educating the readers and clearing their doubts.

Advantages of Inbound Marketing

  1. It’s most cost-effective. Setting up a blog won’t cost your tonnes. So it is cost-effective
  2. It’s easy to generate leads through inbound marketing. As I already said Attract, Engage, Convert, delight
  3. It’s easy to win loyal and trustworthy customers. And they will also trust you because of your effort and hard work to give them quality and valuable content.
  4. It’s long-lasting. No one is going to delete your work on the internet. So when people see that they will automatically reach you.
  5. It helps in reaching new markets globally.
  6. It fasts and creates brand awareness.

Disadvantages of Inbound Marketing

  1. You won’t easily get the trust of people. It’s hard if you are a beginner.
  2. With inbound marketing, you can't be rich soon. It’s a long process. Your content should be evolved by google first, then your customers after that only your leads will evolve.
  3. We hate dominance. And in inbound marketing, there are chances that our competitors command us.

The inbound methodology has 5 special principles and we call it SCOPE

  1. Standardize. The story you tell to your customers should be consistent.
  2. Conceptualize. Tell your story relevant to the people.
  3. Optimize. While telling your story, make some changes and optimize it in a way that attracts everyone like a magnet.
  4. Personalize. Make it special. Don't simply tell the story, make it personal and unique.
  5. Empathize. Give your message feelings and emotions. Write it in a way that your audience gets empathized by it.

Outbound Marketing

In inbound marketing customers and leads reach out to you whereas in outbound marketing the company should reach out to customers like traditional marketing by advertising and promoting the product through TV, radio, posters, and banners. Outbound marketing is also called Interruption marketing or traditional marketing.

Types of Outbound / Interruption Marketing

  1. Print media Advertisement. These are printed ads which we see on one side of magazines and newspapers.
  2. Direct calling. It’s a type of telemarketing that marketers call people abroad and market their products.
  3. Cold Calling. It’s a type of telemarketing where marketers write a script and say that to people randomly.
  4. E-mail spam.
  5. Telemarketing. This is the old style of marketing products by calling people and asking whether they want the product or not.
  6. Pre-roll Ads. Its youtube skip able advertisements
  7. PopUp Ads: Pop-up ads are ads that pop up while browsing something.
  8. TV Advertisements: It’s a normal advertisement which disturbs us while watching our favorite show.

Advantages of Outbound Marketing

  1. It is easy to target your audience and their place. Many local businesses target local areas of customers, so it is easy for them to target.
  2. And the result you get won’t delay. You will get faster results. That is revenue.
  3. It no needs heavy technology knowledge, so it is easy to implement. A little strategy is enough to implement your idea.
  4. You can track your results more easily.
  5. Less competition. Competitors for your area would be fewer.

Disadvantages of Outbound Marketing

  1. It costs a heavy amount. Labour charge, advertisement charge, printing charge, etc., It cost tonnes.
  2. In inbound marketing, there are many resources and tools you have to showcase what you do, how you do whereas outbound marketing lack resources.
  3. It consumes more time. The work is huge so it consumes a lot of time.
  4. You have to repeat, repeat and repeat your process to gain values, trust, and loyal customers.
